SD Studio is an independent residential design practice based in Durango, Colorado, specializing in thoughtful, client-focused home design. Founded by Meghan Cihasky in 2024, the studio approaches each project with creativity, and a grounded, collaborative mindset.

Meghan earned her Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Colorado Boulder, majoring in Architecture with a focus in Landscape Design. Her education emphasized strong conceptual thinking and a holistic approach to architecture - balancing function, aesthetics, and sustainability while exploring inventive materials and site-responsive design. Since graduating, Meghan has continued to refine her craft within the custom residential world, gaining hands-on experience collaborating with clients, contractors, and engineers to bring designs to life.

Meghan’s love for architecture extends to a broader passion for art, the outdoors, and creating timeless, handmade pieces. Sewing, sketching, watercolor painting, and time spent in nature all inform her design approach. By merging the practicality of architecture with artistic intuition and a deep connection to the natural world, she brings a thoughtful and innovative perspective to every project.
